Founded in 1959, we are a private club with a long-standing boating tradition that is blended with a wide variety of sporting and social activities. When you join Bird Key Yacht Club you become part of a small, friendly club that is committed to providing high value to its members. Our club prides itself on creating a special atmosphere that fosters new and lasting friendships with other members who share common interests. Our members come from far and wide, many different countries and varied parts of the greater Sarasota area. The incomparable setting with a spectacular view of Sarasota bay and skyline provides an oasis of relaxation and enjoyment...a true paradise for boaters and non-boaters alike. Our affiliation with the prestigious Laurel Oak Country Club provides year round golf for our members. We are also a member of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs which allows full reciprocity at all FCYC member clubs.
